Visit Truro Cornwall and the surrounding villages and stay in bed & breakfast, hotel or holiday home accommodation provided by BedPosts members.
The cathedral city of Truro is the administrative centre of Cornwall. Truro has dignity, charm, good Georgian buildings.
Truro cathedral has three spires, was completed in 1910, and was built on the site of the 16th century parish church of St Mary. The Church's south aisle was incorporated in the cathedral, whose impressive shape blends well with the dignified Georgian houses in the surrounding streets. The cathedral splendidly dominates the town.
Lemon Street is one of the best-preserved examples of Georgian architecture in Britain.
The Royal Institution of Cornwall (in River Street) has a collection of pictures and drawings that is full of pleasant surprises.
The river trip down to Falmouth is well worth doing.
