Tenbury Wells is a market town on the River Teme, encompassed by apple orchards and hop fields. A saline spring was discovered there in 1839 and a pump room was constructed after, however spas were going out of fashion and its popularity did not last long. The town has half-timbered and Georgian houses and a Tudor inn called “The Royal Oak”. The 18th century church has several effigies and tombs, and a 12th century tower with Norman windows.
