What to see & do in the area....

Located just 4 miles away from Thirsk, the town where the famous vet James Herriott had his practice. The Herriott Centre welcomes visitors all year round.
The larger town of Northallerton is 5 miles in the other direction. Both towns have a railway station, and bus service, together with a full range of shops and supermarkets, market days are held twice a week in both towns.

The historic city of York is a 20min drive South and offers many places of interest and
a beautiful Minster.

The White Horse at Kilburn, is set in a lovely area for walking and cycling, and a bit
further on is the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway at Pickering.
