We would love to welcome you
to our 18century Cottage set in the peaceful village of Thornton -le-Moor.
We have two rooms available, a spacious double room and a pretty, cottage style Twin
room. Both at the front of the house overlooking the front garden.
Both rooms have TV with digital channels and integral DVD player, and full tea/coffee
making facilities.
Just off the landing is the fully-tiled guest bathroom, with shower, w.c and wash basin,
heated towel rail and under floor heating.
Downstairs we have a quiet guest lounge, traditionally furnished and including an
inglenook fireplace and oak beams, or you are welcome to take a stroll, or have a sit in the
back garden.
We believe in good food...
and serve a Full English Breakfast between 8am and 9am, including home made bread &
preserves. Let us know if you would prefer vegetarian alternative, special diets can be catered
for by arrangement.
What to see & do in the area....
Located just 4 miles away from Thirsk, the town where the famous vet James Herriott had his practice. The Herriott Centre welcomes visitors all year round.
The larger town of Northallerton is 5 miles in the other direction. Both towns have a railway station, and bus service, together with a full range of shops and supermarkets, market days are held twice a week in both towns.
The historic city of York is a 20min drive South and offers many places of interest and
a beautiful Minster.
The White Horse at Kilburn, is set in a lovely area for walking and cycling, and a bit
further on is the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway at Pickering.
