Addington, once a village on the North Downs with a cricket club founded in 1743, is now part of Greater london within the Borough of Croydon.
Addington Palace was a hunting lodge of Henry VIII. Rebuilt in 1770, and a home of the Archbishops of Canterbury in the 19th century, is now a wedding venue.
